1-5 players, Cooperative, Figure-Pack, Expansion
Purpose of Expansion

This expansion adds three new boss miniature sculpts, new title cards and some new gear to collect for the core game of Journeys in Middle-earth. As such it is not an essential purchase however does add a bit of variety and visual appeal to the game.
The Additions
Two of the three new miniatures correspond to the bosses in the Bones of Arnor base game story campaign and one is for the Hunt for the Ember Crown DLC campaign that you can download from the app for an additional fee. You can still play these campaigns without the miniatures just fine but they do add as nice touch to the visual aspect of the game.

Also included are some new titles and gear that can be acquired. Once this figure pack is added to your “collection” in the app these new titles and items will become acquirable throughout both campaigns available.
The Changes
Nada, no changes or tweaks for this one. It’s as easy as activating the expansion in the app and then mixing in the components with the core game materials.

Final Thoughts
I like it. This expansion isn’t anything spectacular or mind blowing and for sure not an essential purchase to play the game. However it adds to the visual appeal by actually giving the bosses representation on the board. And on top of that it adds in some cool new gear that can be acquired with new titles. The sculpts are really good and the card quality is top notch. I would say if you are a big fan of the game then this is a no-brainer purchase.
